Ditte Krøyer

Ditte Krøyer is a Danish interdisciplinary artist specialised in Sculpture and Environmental Art. Her work evolves through printmaking, installation, music and performance and investigates an in-between of worlds: Borderlines of nightmares and dreams, utopia and dystopia or life and death as her work suggests parallels to climate change and late capitalism. Krøyer is inspired by medieval art and architecture and her connection to landscapes, mountains and the Scottish Highlands.

Krøyer sings in metal band Vulvatorious, and with song titles such as FUCK YOU INCEL and CUNT WAR she growls to summon the audience to join the great resistance against the patriarchy. Vulvatorious investigates ideas of feminism, gender and the exchange of energies through performance and metal music.Krøyer’s aim is to create a third voice of visual art and performance combined and explored in various spaces to investigate the effects of metal music in the contemporary art world while she is dedicated to explore the interactions of energies communicated between the performer and the audience in a live setting.
