Edu Sanchez (He/Him)
Edu Sánchez considers himself a sound recordist, sound designer and voice-over artist, who always keeps Nature’s representation in mind as the project’s driving engine while meeting the film industry standards and critically reformulating his project formats on every production.
The Journey of a Molecule of Water, 2022. Soundscape.
Within this work, Sánchez immerses us in a scenario in motion, which follows the simulated point of audition of a molecule of Water. Setting the mood from the Musique Concrète introductory piece, the acoustic scene, delivered from an anthropocentric approach and at times from within Water’s perspective, leads to an auditory experience that does not leave the listener indifferent.
Immersive Nancy’s Rest, 2023. Binaural Audio Immersive Painting
Put your earphones on. Within this painting’s world, you will get immersed in a binaural audio-immersive experience with an AI-generated multilingual dialogue.
This narrative work is composed of a flat video piece with ambisonic treatment -and binaural rendered- soundscape. By developing this practice, I am appealing to the contemporary immersive practice within the wide plastic arts field of the likes of Van Gogh, The Immersive Experience (2022) or Dalí: Cybernetics The Immersive Experience (2023), where a preconceived outcome gains an extra sensorial layer to enlarge the paint’s world.

SoundAR, 2023. Audio Augmented Reality app prototype.
Within this AAR app prototype, I aim to develop a learning tool or a medium to understand and interpret some of the different connections among an ecosystem and the uniqueness of its purpose.
Please, use it on the Kelvingrove Park grounds or in any other safe environment.
