Jiani’s works mainly revolve around the environment and animals, as she is passionate about creating animations and illustrations. Her love for nature and creatures is expressed not only through still images but also through diverse forms of digital art. She is actively seeking different approaches to visually represent the current state of the natural world, aiming to raise awareness about environmental conservation and inspire people to contemplate ways to address pollution.
Final Work
The purpose of my project is to raise people’s awareness of what the ocean is facing through the videos, showing how our everyday items have become a “weapon” that harms the ocean. By understanding the different types of plastics, people can reflect on whether they should continue to discard them casually. Let the plastic bottles in the ocean become the “last jellyfish” and remind us to take action to protect our environment.
GLOWING PLASTIC JELLYFISH
I created a painting of a jellyfish and crafted a piece of plastic into the shape of half a jellyfish. The changing lights can illuminate the nearby painted jellyfish at the same time. It creates the illusion of luminescent jellyfish in the deep sea, lighting up the surrounding darkness.
