Narrative

I have always been passionate about art, music, and dance, and it has often been my experience as a professional musician and dancer to witness this invisible gap between these artistic groups. Both continue their professional practice whilst simultaneously maintaining this separation, recognising that dance and music complement one another.

Brief

To create a modern Music / Dance Venue, located in the musically powerful city of Glasgow. A vibrant city, with a rich history of music and theatre, legendary music scenes and a variety of venues. These venues cover the whole spectrum – from contemporary to classical and many more. In this response, I propose a different venue format for modern music and dance. The new 200-seat adaptable auditorium is designed to answer the needs of contemporary audiences and theatre-makers and is capable of responding to shows with different formats.
