BDes/MEDes Product Design provides a unique and holistic overview of design’s role in future society. Our 2023 class of graduating students has a diverse skill set and deep understanding of design’s evolving role as a creative, strategic and collaborative practice to design future ways of living. Product Design challenges conventional perceptions of product design as a solely industrial discipline, instead focusing on understanding the relationship between people and things in order to shape our speculations for a preferable future. Students have participated in live projects with businesses and public-sector organisations, international study and work placements, preparing our emerging graduates for a number of creative career possibilities to drive real-world impact.
